Sam's Vision for New York

Our Platform

A clear, principled agenda built on the real needs of New Yorkers — from healthcare and housing to education and public safety.

Where Sam Stands

Sam's platform is grounded in the values of fairness, opportunity, and shared prosperity. Here is where he stands on the issues that matter most to New Yorkers.

01

Priority Issue

Healthcare Access for All

Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Sam believes that every New Yorker — regardless of income, neighborhood, or background — deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare. New York has the resources and the responsibility to lead the nation in expanding healthcare access.

Sam will fight to lower prescription drug costs, expand community health centers, protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, and ensure that mental health services receive the investment they deserve.

Sam's Priorities

  • Expand Medicaid coverage and close coverage gaps
  • Lower prescription drug costs through bulk purchasing
  • Invest in community health centers statewide
  • Strengthen mental health and addiction services
  • Protect healthcare access for women and families

02

Priority Issue

Education & Opportunity

A child's future should never be determined by the neighborhood where they were born. Sam is committed to ensuring that New York's public schools receive equitable funding, that teachers are supported and valued, and that every student has access to the resources they need to thrive.

From early childhood education to college affordability, Sam will work to build an education system that prepares New Yorkers for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Sam's Priorities

  • Equitable school funding across all districts
  • Support teacher recruitment, retention, and pay
  • Expand pre-K and early childhood programs
  • Make CUNY and SUNY more affordable
  • Invest in vocational and career education

03

Priority Issue

Affordable Housing

New York's housing crisis is one of the most urgent challenges facing our state. Working families, seniors, and young New Yorkers are being priced out of the communities where they have lived for generations. Sam will fight to make housing affordable and accessible for all.

Sam supports strengthening tenant protections, expanding investment in affordable housing construction, and addressing the root causes of displacement that are pushing New Yorkers out of their homes and neighborhoods.

Sam's Priorities

  • Strengthen rent stabilization and tenant protections
  • Increase funding for affordable housing construction
  • Combat housing discrimination and displacement
  • Support first-time homebuyers and housing access
  • Address homelessness with supportive services

04

Priority Issue

Public Safety

Every New Yorker deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood, their home, and their community. Sam believes in a smart, evidence-based approach to public safety — one that both reduces crime effectively and builds trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Sam supports investing in crime prevention programs, community-based intervention, and ensuring that police departments have the resources, training, and accountability systems needed to protect and serve all New Yorkers equitably.

Sam's Priorities

  • Invest in community violence intervention programs
  • Strengthen police accountability and oversight
  • Expand youth programs and after-school opportunities
  • Address the root causes of crime with social services
  • Improve criminal justice and re-entry support

05

Priority Issue

Transportation & Infrastructure

New York's economy depends on reliable, efficient transportation. A strong transit system connects workers to jobs, students to schools, and communities to opportunity. Sam is committed to fighting for the investment New York's infrastructure needs and deserves.

From MTA funding to road and bridge maintenance, Sam will advocate for robust, sustainable transportation solutions — including expanded public transit, cycling infrastructure, and long-term capital investment in our statewide transportation network.

Sam's Priorities

  • Secure reliable, long-term MTA capital funding
  • Modernize subway, bus, and rail infrastructure
  • Improve transit accessibility for people with disabilities
  • Invest in sustainable, green transportation solutions
  • Repair roads and bridges across the state

06

Priority Issue

Small Business & Economic Growth

Small businesses are the backbone of New York's economy and the heart of our neighborhoods. Sam believes in creating conditions where entrepreneurs can start, grow, and sustain successful businesses — especially in communities that have been historically underserved.

Sam will fight to cut unnecessary red tape, expand access to small business resources, and create an environment where innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish across New York State.

Sam's Priorities

  • Reduce regulatory burdens on small businesses
  • Expand access to small business grants and resources
  • Support minority- and women-owned businesses
  • Invest in workforce development and job training
  • Create economic development zones in underserved areas

A Platform Built on Listening
